I have worked with Carl for five years now. 100% reliable, he is motivating, enthusiastic and makes the sessions fun and varied. He is really focussed on me as an individual and what I want to get out of training. He is highly supportive and full of useful tips, ideas and dietary advice (not always followed !). I made the excellent decision to start training with Carl in 2015 and I have never looked back or regretted my decision. I came into the gym at 111kgs and with the guidance and encouragement of this amazing trainer, I boxed and worked out and ate well to get myself down by 30kgs. Carl is a very patient trainer, but he also knows how to push you to ensure you give it your best shot. While he is personable and chats with his clients, he doesn't get waylaid to the point where his training is ineffective. He is simply amazing and worth every penny you put into training with him. Not only did I drop so much weight, but my boxing improved exponentially. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I have to say, while moving to NYC was a dream come true, I cried some serious tears over leaving Carl and I miss his tutelage to this very day. TRAIN. WITH. CARL. You will thank yourself forever.
Carl is a fantastic motivator and gets great results quickly. Be prepared to work hard, but you will improve your boxing technique and power, as well as all round fitness and strength. Plenty of variety - you won't get bored - but you will look and feel great afterwards!
My wife and I were in our late forties when we decided to take a different approach to our health. Both of us were having slight health issues due to weight gain, and neither of us did much if at all any kind of exercising. We looked around and found a local gym where I worked in London. I said to my wife that I would join and see if I got on with the guys and took to the training. Well I had only been there a few days when a nice guy called Karol introduced him self to me and explained that he took boxing classes. The next day I took my first session with Karol and loved it. I know this sounds mad, but I really did love it. So much so I went straight home and got my wife to join. I couldn't believe how much we got on with the training and Karol. Five years on now, and we are both so much fitter and happier. Both of us enjoy our time and have learnt how to eat well and train well.
I began training with Carl after having a few white collar bouts. I wanted to carry on with the boxing training without the competitive element. Carl tailors his sessions to include movement, footwork and blocking so you have the full boxing experience rather than “just” the fitness element. The sessions can be intense but that’s what you want right?! Within 2 months of training twice a week I had noticed that I was starting to tone up, felt stronger and had more energy. Carl is an expert in his field and has an extremely professional manner. I can see why, like myself he has clients that continue to train with him for over 10 years. If you want to get fit, learn something new and a pro to guide you all the way then I highly recommend training with Carl.
